The room was clean and the staff at the front desk were really nice. There were parking spots BUT you can tell this hotel is really good when a lot of people are there. I will say though, the tub and shower, it was sticky (like stuck on one thing) to turn the shower head on. Took me five minutes to get the shower head to turn on but even then, the tub faucet was still half on as I couldn't get it to fully turn on. The bed was very comfortable after driving 8.5 hours and it was close to the ambulatory hospital where I needed to be.

Room was greatly clean. Check in staff was very helpful. This hotel is so beautiful. I always enjoy my stay over here.

I travel a lot and wanted a different experience than staying at the typical chain hotel. This turned out to be a great option. The location is great right near great restaurants and events. I would highly recommend this if you are traveling to Detroit.

Gorgeous room, however we had specifically requested the room with the kitchenette…room does not come with any plates, cutlery, cookware etc. Had to request it twice from the concierge and we had a rusty and greasy pan delivered to us from the kitchen. We didn’t end up using the kitchenette at all because we thought that was quite gross and what we were paying for the hotel it just didn’t add up. Second, having a blow dryer without a diffuser and a budget hairdryer at that …again for such an expensive hotel was really disappointing. HOWEVER despite all of this, the staff and room itself was very nice and clean. They also had a guest snack and beverage bar on each of the floors which was provided for free. I think The Daxton would benefit from paying attention to the little things to make the guest experience that much better. PS we loved the bikes!
